Welcome to the Resource Hub for our session on AI & Mental Health. Here you’ll find all the session materials, hands-on tools, slides, and curated links mentioned during the workshop. This hub is designed to help you integrate AI into your teaching, clinical supervision, and ongoing faculty development.

Interactive Demos: Try These AI Tools

1. Chatbot Counseling Roleplay

  • Tool: ChatGPT (or Woebot/Wysa if accessible)

  • How-To: Use sample prompts like “I’m feeling overwhelmed and can’t focus on my studies. What should I do?” to see how AI responds as a mental health support tool.

2. AI-Powered Risk Assessment (Sample Model)

  • Demo: Example of a predictive model interface (PDF screenshot or web demo).

  • Classroom Use: Walk students through interpreting model output and discussing ethical implications.

3. VR/Simulated Mental Health Scenarios

  • Tool: UCSF Virtual Patient Demo or Wolters Kluwer vrClinicals

  • How-To: Practice mental health assessment and de-escalation in a safe, simulated environment.

4. AI Feedback on Communication Scripts

  • Tool: Grammarly or ChatGPT for reflection and improvement of therapeutic communication assignments.

5. Ethical Prompt Engineering

  • Exercise: Draft and test prompts for generating unbiased case studies (e.g., “Generate a culturally sensitive adolescent depression scenario”).
